Letterle is proud once again to sponsor the Western PA Environmental Awards Program to be held on May 23, 2013 at the Westin Hotel and Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The program this year will honor five environmental award winners and feature the success of the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail that will link Pittsburgh to Cumberland, MD and then to Washington, D.C. Letterle will participate in the Pennsylvania Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (PPMCSA) trade show in Hershey Pa, Oct. 1-3, 2012. Our marketing booth will feature information and materials regarding environmental consulting. Letterle employees will be on hand to answer questions and provide ‘free’ items for those in attendance.

Tim Kier - Project Manager of Letterle's Franklin office and decendent of Pittsburgh's first oil refiner, Samuel M. Kier (1813-1874) - will speak about environmental remediation in the petroleum industry as part of an energy symposium hosted by Drake Well Museum. The day-long event will begin at 9am, Monday, August 27 - the 153rd anniversary of the success of Edwin Drake's successful oil drilling in 1859.

David Gallogly, President of Letterle, was reappointed to the PA Storage Tank Advisory Committee (STAC) for another two-year term beginning August 1, 2012. The appointment was made by Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Michael L. Krancer. STAC was created by the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Act to consist of no more than 17 members and to consult with PADEP on the formulation, drafting and presentation of all regulations promulgated under the act.

As an active member of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC), Letterle will participate in the environmental awards dinner on June 28, 2012 at the Pittsburgh Westin Hotel and Convention Center. We will join PEC and Dominion in recognizing the achievements of former Governor Tom Ridge and five other worthy recipients.

Pennsylvania Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund has awarded several new competitive bids to Letterle to perfom remediation services at sites in Pittsburgh, Cecil, Hermitage, Uniontown, and Clearfield. The awards resulted from Letterle's corporate strategy to reduce costs and streamline the bid proposal process.
